LUKE from the lost highway.

| Nah man, their still right on my heels.Watched a little bitta Last of the Dogman yesterday afternoon. And there was a dog on there just like Gypsy,my red heeler. So i pulled up(dog on Last of the Dogman)on the computer, and there was a few pictures of the dog in the movie. Then clicked on one of the links & there was that Rainbow Bridge gig.Got to thinkin bout folks that have lost their partners in crime & posted it.Glad it hit the note with some of ya'll.
Goin (Good Lord willin)in a coupla weeks to Macon for GABBA.Seems like the heart can't get enough of spendin time with Mama these daze. She's gettin on up there in years. And along with the world spinnin outta control in a ball of confusion. It feeds the spirit to spend time with her and talk.Last run to RedDogs gig i squatted in the back by her chair and we went straight from the heart for about 30 minutes. From life & youngens to RedDog,Dickey & Gregg, the good LORD,trials, tests & on.A very special & kind woman Mama Louise is.If any of ya'll have ever thought about goin to Macon & keep puttin it off for whatever reason.I would strongly advise ya to get on down to Macon. Then meet(if they choose ya to to)a few spirits, have go around or two, ramble the bricks of Macon & spend a few minutes with Mama. We're livin in some tryin times right now.And a lot is gettin ready to come down the pike to the likes of nothing we've ever seen before. But without gettin any deeper,i'll say once again. If you've lived the jam thru out your life, and feel the callin deep in your heart & bones.Quench the hunger & get on down there. ----------------------- | 5.9.2010 18:14 |

| after reading Lukes post about Rainbow Bridge... well, it got me..right in the heart. . Jax's one year anniversary of passing is on the 7th.. it was a very bad Labor day weekend last year...
I hope to see him again one day waiting for me there, along with all the pets I've had and loved and that loved me.. Jax was the special one , thou... Ho Hum
Luke is all ok with pets ?
So... anyway... I needed something to cheer me up.. and I found it.. right here at Dickey's house.. the way he loving holds, cradles, wrestles, wrangles, loves his guitar... here is just one example of the man in action...
What can break my heart is the thought of never seeing DB performing on stage again... I've had the best of his performances at times... but to never see him again performing.. well..there are no words...

| The Rainbow Bridge
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called The Rainbow Bridge, because of it's many colors.Just this side of The rainbow bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water, and warm Spring weather. Those old and frail animals are young again. Those who have been maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.
But there is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on earth. So,each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up.The nose twitches, the ears are up,the eyes are staring, and this one suddenly runs from the group. You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace.Your face is kissed again and again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.
Then you cross The Rainbow bridge together, never again to be seperated. ----------------------- | 5.9.2010 13:07 |

| Hey Nic .. wonderful giving up your free time for some volunteering... the unselfishness of others is to be respected and celebrated..
Mitch.. loving those pictures you posted of yourself, Marie and Jim King.. and then the one with Capn.. I will always remember Capn's smile... unlike any others..
Missing Jim King around here
Mitch and Marie are the sweetest and kindness couple... I always wish we had more time to spend together.. where you can actually hear each other....
It was hot, hot , hot.... could have fried an egg and bacon on the street in front of the concert hall that day...
Have a Blue Day everyone... chill , relax, get your groove on, and enjoy this Sunday....
